      Note

      1. It is mandatory for girls to wear slips and bloomers and boys to wear vests under the uniforms

      3. It is mandatory to wear school cap if student is going to represent school outside

      Note

      1. Ornaments and jewellery of any kind will not be allowed in the school.
      2. Students must be dressed in school uniform while visiting the school with parents during school hours.
      3. Students should not be found in school uniform after school hours, unless the student is representing the school along with their teacher escort.

       

    • DISCIPLINE

      School Almanac

      1. Identity Cards must be worn to school on all days.
      2. The school almanac must be brought to the school every day.
      3. All entries in the almanac from the school must be shown to parents and entries made by the parents to be brought to the notice of the relevant school staff.


      Behaviour

      1. The School aims at behavioural elegance and the inculcation of discipline, individually and in groups, while in school premises functions as well as during the organized trips
      2. Irregular attendance, neglect of homework, disobedience or disrespect towards staff or bad moral influence would lead to strict disciplinary action
      3. Any damage to school property will be made good by the offending student(s) and would entail disciplinary action.
      4. Classrooms would be locked when not in use. The entire class would be responsible for any damage to class property.
      5. Sanjivani international School students should display polite behaviour wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct.
      6. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
      7. Students should greet their teachers when they meet them.
      8. The school has a ??ISCIPLINE COMMITTEE??consisting of teachers students and members of the PTA who will review disciplinary cases and award punishments accordingly.
      9. Students are strictly prohibited from entering the school in civil dress.


      Punctuality

      All students must be present in school 10 minutes before the scheduled time. The school gate will close at 8.00 am. All late arrivals without justified reasons will be sent back home. Three late arrivals in a month would lead to one absent mark.


      Attendance

      1. Regular attendance to school is most essential. The minimum requirement of attendance in the academic year is 90%.
      2. Leave of absence is given to students on prior application from the parents.
      3. All leave applications are to be submitted on separate sheets of paper for the class teacher?? record.
      4. Students absent on account of illness are to submit valid medical certificates.
      5. Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class (refer Medical Guidance).
      6. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission will be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee.
      7. Appointment with Doctors or any social engagements must not be arranged during school hours. No partial attendance will be permitted.
      8. Mandatory Working Days for the Students and Staff.

      1. Independence Day
      2. Republic day
      3. First and Last working days before and after term breaks
      4. Annual Day; Concert; Sports day; and Investiture Ceremony
      5. Examinations Days

    • SCHOOL FEES

      1. The school fees and bus fees cover twelve calendar months and must be paid in advance at the School Accounts Office.
      2. The fees are to be paid before 10th of each month failing which will be levied per month.
      3. Pupils have to pay fees until they are withdrawn with a Transfer Certificate.
      4. Fees once paid is not refundable.
      5. All the dues must be cleared before each term examinations.
      6. Since the final examinations start in the first week of march. Students are supposed to clear the annual fees in february itself.
      7. The parents / guardian have the option to pay the fees either by cash or cheque at the school office counter during the stipulated period.
      8. Cheques must be drawn in favour of Sanjivani International School.
      9. The name of the student and class / sec and telephone number should be written on the reverse side of the cheque. In case any cheque is returned from the bank, due to any reason, such cases will be liable for disciplinary / legal action and or penalty will be levied.
      10. Out station cheques will not be accepted.

    • WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL

      1. By Parent - One month’s notice is to be given with fees paid for the term.

      2. On Disciplinary Grounds - A student may be suspended / expelled from the school by the Principal, on the advice of the Disciplinary Committee for bad conduct or bad behaviour considered detrimental to school discipline.

      Irregular attendance habitual idleness, disobedience, indiscipline, defiance of authority, lack of sufficient efforts to improve in students behaviour, threat to other students, exchange or use of mobile and other electronic gadgets in the campus, political activities in school campus and parental misbehavior or non – co-operation with the staff of school authorities are sufficient reason for dismissal of a student. If a parent becomes a nuisance to the school, his / her child may be dismissed with immediate effect.


      Pupils, who keep themselves absent from class for one month or 3 days attached to vacations (without any intimation), will have their names struck off the rolls. Principal reserves the right to readmit them only after the payment of fresh admission fee.


      Issue of transfer Certificate

      1. Application for TC is to be given at least 15 days in advance. TC will be issued only on clearance of all dues.
      2. Duplicate copy of a TC is not normally issued. Duplicate copy may be issued on production of an affidavit that the original TC has been lost.
      3. Bonafide Certificate can be issued on the request of the parents.

       

    • LIBRARY RULES

      1. Students should make it a matter of personal pride to utilize the library books with utmost care.
      2. The students are not to take any book from the library without proper entry in the issue register.
      3. Only one book will be issued for duration of one week at a time. It may be re-issued for another week and for such a renewal, the book must be produced.
      4. The attention of the librarian should be drawn to damages to the books.
      5. All the books must be returned before the end of each term. The borrower, who fails to return a book, will have to pay a fine of Rs.1/- per day.
      6. Students of Std.X will be required to return all library books and obtain clearance certificate from the Librarian before applying for the ICSE Examination hall ticket.
      7. Library cards are not transferable.
      8. Students are responsible for the safe upkeep of the books. Any damagecaused to the books inside or outside the librarywill be made good by replacing it with new book (same Author and Title) along with penal fines.Only paper, pencil/pens shall be permitted to be brought inside the library along with the library books, due for return.
    • BUS RULES

      Students can avail of the school bus and will be responsible for maintaining discipline to ensure safe travel. The following rules must be observed


      1. Students using the school bus are to be at the stipulated bus stop at least 10 minutes before the arrival time of the bus.
      2. No student can change his/her bus route without written permission from the School Office /Bus –in-Charge.
      3. No waste / object of any kind is to be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
      4. Students will be held responsible for any damage to the bus caused by negligence or vandalism.
      5. Unruly behaviour is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
      6. Students are to embark in an orderly manner.
      7. No student is permitted to board any other bus, than the bus he/she is entitled to.
      8. All students using the school bus will be required to fill in the indemnity form before availing the school transport.
      9. Bus fees are payable for all 12 months of the year. The fees will be charged in 2 slabs.

      Note : All enquiries regarding the buses plied by school should be addressed to the Bus- In- Charge.

       

    • GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

      1. Please read and understand the contents thoroughly.
      2. Check the School almanac regularly for entries from the school. Also use the almanac for communication with the teachers.
      3. Parents can communicate their concerns to the PTA member of the respective classes, who in turn will contact school authorities. Although parents with individual issues can contact school directly and can meet school authorities with prior appointment.
      4. Parents should furnish to the school their latest office and residential address and telephone numbers. These are vital in the interest of the safety of the student.
      5. Kindly monitor that your ward carries textbooks/ exercise books according to the timetable of the day. Parents must glance through the books, notebooks and answer papers of their children.
      6. Parents should not call up teachers at their residence. The problems/ doubts would be dealt – with at school during visiting hours.
      7. Encourage your wards to take balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports. Ensure they are prepared for the class tests and Examinations.
      8. Daily pocket allowances should be restricted. Excessive spending should be discouraged.
      9. Children are prohibited from bringing crackers, colours, etc. to the school. Bursting of crackers or playing with colours is liable to suspension / expulsion of student from school.
      10. Wards should be instructed to be careful about their belongings. Expensive articles like transistors, video games, jewellery, mobiles, ipods and calculator should not be brought to school. Incase of violation of this rule, the articles will be confiscated.
      11. Boys must have proper haircut. There will be a checking once a week. Any boys found with long hair and beard will be sent to the school barber.
      12. The school discourages distribution of toffees / chocolates on birthdays of the students. You are advised not to send junk food items in the lunch – box.
      13. Only Pre-primary students will be allowed to come in Party dress on their birthday.
      14. Students should not visit public places in school uniform. They are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in school and outside. Misbehaviour in public places will be dealt with severely.
      15. Breach of rules of discipline will result in a child being given a pink card. A disciplinary action will be taken against the student who gets 3 pink cards during his academic tenure.
      16. Under no circumstances parents are allowed to directly walk into the class rooms. They need to have prior appointment for any genuine reasons to meet the teachers and only in the visitors lounge.
